Today I was on the L and it was stopped at Bedford for 30 minutes because some guy got his wallet snatched and the police had to “investigate” (more on that later). I spent most of that time reading and wishing I’d taken the M to the J and just walked from Chambers. I got to work at 10:00 AM only to learn that there were also long delays on the JMZ.
I didn’t make the right decision but I certainly didn’t make the wrong one. Trains! I love them.
A demolition application has been filed for a single family house at 1094 Madison Street, between Central and Evergreen Aves. The property was purchased in October by developer Boaz Gilad (via Madison Upreal LLC) for $370,000.
The parcel is located a few blocks from another Gilad project at 1255 Bushwick Avenue, where Brownstoner recently noted a new seven-story 32-unit residential building will replace the Holy Tabernacle Church.
SFH are a rarity in Bushwick and getting scarcer by the day. Sorry to see another frame structure go.
